key responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation
- Develop and execute an IT roadmap that aligns with the overall business strategy.
- Lead Digital Transformation initiatives to modernize legacy systems and automate manual workflows.
- Advise the executive team on emerging technologies and their potential ROI.
2. Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Oversee the design and maintenance of a scalable, high-availability infrastructure.
- Manage the transition to and optimization of Cloud Services.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical business systems and lead Disaster Recovery (DR) planning.
3. Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Define and enforce the organization’s Cybersecurity framework, protecting data against evolving threats.
- Manage identity access, network security, and regular vulnerability audits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations
4. Software Development & Integration
- Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for internal tools or customer-facing products.
- Manage API integrations between disparate systems to ensure a "single source of truth" for data.
- Liaise with DevOps to ensure seamless deployment and continuous improvement.
5. Operational Management
- Direct the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in hardware/software procurement.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in IT, in a senior leadership position.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven experience in cloud architecture, network security, and agile development environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical jargon into actionable business insights.
- Exceptional communication, crisis management, and people-development skills.
