Our client is a well-established, fast-growing organisation operating in the food production and supply sector. Following a recent strategic merger and as part of its broader transformation journey, the company is setting up a new Centre of Excellence (COE) — an internal advisory function designed to support and uplift the HR and organisational practices of the main business unit.
This newly created pillar will function as a strategic hub to advise and modernise people practices, with a focus on long-term sustainability and operational excellence.
About the Role
We are seeking a forward-thinking, transformation-driven HR Manager to lead and shape this newly formed COE. This role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who has deep exposure to the full spectrum of HR functions, including compensation, talent management, policy development, recruitment, and workforce planning.
As the HR Manager of this advisory entity, you will play a key role in reviewing, developing, and advising on HR frameworks and best practices, working closely with senior leadership to build a future-ready people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and lead the HR advisory COE in alignment with overall business goals
Review and modernise existing HR frameworks, policies, and procedures
Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits structures
Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives
Provide direction on recruitment strategies, on-boarding, and employee life cycle processes
Offer support and oversight on foreign worker management and payroll coordination
Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to align HR practices with organisational needs
Serve as a trusted advisor and agent of change in the HR space
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Solid experience in full-spectrum HR, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and policy development
Demonstrated experience in HR transformation or advisory functions
Familiarity with foreign workforce management and on boarding processes
Strong understanding of HR compliance and Malaysian labor laws
Hands-on execution skills with the ability to think strategically
High integrity, a proactive mindset, and strong communication skills
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin required due to business needs to communicate with mandarin speaking employees and upper management.
