About the Job
- Contractor Management: Review and approve Contractor Safety and Health Work Plans, Safe Working Procedures, and Method Statements.
- Safety Training: Oversee the delivery of safety inductions, tool box meetings, and specialized on-the-job training for new workers.
- Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct comprehensive site inspections and prepare for Safety or SHASSIC audits to ensure implementation of safety protocols.
- Risk Assessment: Lead and coordinate Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) for critical project milestones.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise specialized high-risk activities, including scaffolding erection/dismantling and heavy machinery operations.
- Incident Investigation: Act as a lead investigator for any site incidents, ensuring that proper preventive measures are implemented.
- Environmental Compliance: Manage environmental protocols, including the supervision of scheduled waste management and noise control.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Represent the project in safety committee meetings and prepare monthly safety reports for the client and relevant authorities.
What you need to succeed
- Minimum Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- At least 5-7 years in a management role
- Possesses a valid Green Book certification
- Added advantage: Prior experience handling data center projects
- Added advantage: Worked in a project management consultancy environment
