We are currently looking for a HSE Manager for a leading player in the Industrial Components Manufacturing Industry with a legacy of more than 20 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

- Monitor compliance with Malaysian health, safety, and environmental laws (e.g. OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, FMA 1967).
- Liaise with government agencies such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and local authorities to ensure timely audits, inspections, and licensing.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, near misses, and environmental breaches; implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees at all levels, covering topics such as emergency procedures, hazard recognition, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential safety hazards and risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop, maintain, and test emergency response plans for fire, chemical spills, machinery failure, and natural disasters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, human resources, and facilities management, to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of business operations.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance safety performance.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and regulatory compliance documentation. Prepare regular reports on safety performance and trends for management review.
the experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within a manufacturing, electronics, or industrial production environment.
- Solid track record in implementing HSE management systems, incident investigations, and compliance with Malaysian regulatory bodies (e.g. DOSH, DOE, BOMBA).
- Experience working with international standards such as ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
