... Strengthening Internal Controls: Lead and support projects with external professionals to reinforce our internal control mechanisms, ensuring they are robust and effective.
Driving Compliance: Monitor and improve our regulatory compliance status, and be the trusted advisor who can firmly advise senior management on local and global rules.
Operational Excellence: Work directly with the business to troubleshoot and improve operations from an internal control and compliance standpoint, including developing and implementing a new contract review mechanism.
Digitalization and Automation: Collaborate with the IT team to digitalize business processes, preventing human errors and rule violations.
Ethical Oversight: Act as the point of contact for whistleblowing cases, handling them with the utmost professionalism and ethical standards.
Training & Mentorship: Develop and conduct internal control training for employees to embed a culture of compliance across the organization.
What We're Looking For
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Internal Control Manager or Internal Audit Manager.
Education: A degree in Risk Management, Accountancy, Finance, Investigation, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Experience with J-SOX implementation or operation in a Japanese company is highly preferred. Experience using SAP and a background in manufacturing multinational companies is an advantage.
Professional Qualities: A proven ability to act autonomously and uphold professional ethics. You should be a self-learner, capable of quickly adapting to new or changing regulations.
Communication: An open and logical communicator who can build trust and rapport in a new work environment. Proficiency in both written and verbal English is essential.
Mindset: A hands-on approach to problem-solving and a strong desire to support and improve business operations.
