About the Role
As the Sales Team Leader for the Southern Region, you will lead a team of sales professionals focused on laboratory instrumentation. Your role involves managing key accounts, driving business development, mentoring team members, and ensuring excellent technical consultation and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of sales representatives to achieve annual sales targets
- Drive new business opportunities and secure accounts across both public and private sectors
- Build strong customer relationships and promote solutions through a consultative approach
- Execute marketing campaigns, manage pipelines, and support team in lead generation
- Track competitor activity and respond strategically to maintain market edge
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and sales proposals, ensuring win-win outcomes
- Deliver product demonstrations, participate in seminars, and support training sessions for clients
- Maintain high-quality CRM documentation for forecasting and performance tracking
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Experience in technical sales or lab roles, with 1–5 years of team leadership experience
- Knowledge of lab instrumentation (e.g., balances, pH meters, pipettes, moisture analysers)
- Strong communication, leadership, and consultative selling skills
- Results-driven and strategic, with solid business acumen
- Must be based in or open to traveling within Johor and Melaka
