- Develop and manage the comprehensive landscape maintenance plan for the resort.
- Monitor the health and vitality of all flora, implementing proactive pest and disease management and recommending specialized care or replacements.
- Provide technical support for new landscape projects, design, and implementation, utilizing expert knowledge of plants, soil science, and irrigation systems.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the landscaping team (including task allocation and scheduling) in executing all daily maintenance functions (e.g., mowing, pruning, fertilizing).
- Ensure the operation, maintenance, and safe storage of all landscaping tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate operational records (schedules, planting logs, expenses) and stay current on industry trends and best practices.
- Manage the resort's composting program and organic waste processes.
- Collaborate with the F&B team to develop and maintain the on-site herb and vegetable garden using sustainable/organic practices.
skills and experience required
- Diploma or Certificate in Horticulture, Estate Management, Landscape Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in professional landscape management for high-end resorts, golf courses, luxury residential estates or botanical gardens.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, managing a team of grounds staff.
- Proficient knowledge of irrigation systems maintenance and the safe operation of landscaping equipment.
