hiring: mission-critical data centre delivery team (epcc & pmc)
we are representing a leading infrastructure developer and a specialized project management consultancy (pmc) to build a high-performance delivery team for a series of tier iii and tier iv data centre projects. these mission-critical developments are strategically located across different parts of malaysia, including perak, klang valley, and johor. we are seeking seasoned professionals to manage the end-to-end engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (epcc) lifecycle across these key regions.
open positions
project director: responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of complex infrastructure, leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites to reach "ready for service" (rfs) status.
construction manager: oversees on-site execution and ensures that the actual constructed facility aligns perfectly with approved engineering designs.
mep manager: acts as the technical lead for high-availability electrical and mechanical systems, power solutions, and mission-critical cooling.
qaqc manager (mep): ensures all installations and equipment meet stringent uptime tier iii/iv compliance and approved technical specifications.
core responsibilities
multidisciplinary leadership: leading csa (civil, structural, architectural), mep, and ict teams while managing diverse epcc contractors and consultants.
lifecycle oversight: managing every phase from initial concept and local authority approvals to procurement, installation, and final commissioning.
technical expertise: resolving design conflicts between disciplines and overseeing the procurement strategy for long-lead, mission-critical equipment.
risk & budget control:establishing project governance and escalation mechanisms to protect against cost overruns, scope creep, and contractor underperformance
general requirements
experience: 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 3–5 years specifically dedicated to data centre infrastructure projects.
education: a degree in engineering (csa or mep) or construction management is required.
certifications: professional engineer (ir.), pmp/prince2, or uptime institute accredited tier specialist (ats) status is highly valued.
technical knowledge: deep understanding of tier iii/iv design, redundancy architectures, fault isolation, and hse/osha standards.
mobility: ability to coordinate between various project sites in perak, klang valley, and johor.
