The Role
We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our client's growing team. You will be responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Maintain: Build robust, scalable back-end modules using PHP and the Laravel framework.
Architecture: Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
Integration: Connect user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
Database Management: Create complex SQL queries and optimize database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Code Quality: Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges while maintaining clean, documented code.
Technical Skills Required
Core: Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel (or similar frameworks like Symfony).
Front-End: Basic understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3).
Databases: Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
Tools: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
API: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Bonus: Familiarity with Docker, AWS, or Redis is a plus.
