We are seeking a high-caliber Plant Controller to oversee the strategic and operational performance of our two manufacturing facilities in Malacca. This role is designed for a leader who blends technical operational excellence with a strong financial and business background. You will be responsible for driving P&L performance, optimizing supply chain efficiencies, and spearheading growth initiatives across both sites.
Key Responsibilities
As the Plant Controller, you will hold full accountability for the Malacca cluster's performance:
Multi-Site Operational Leadership: Direct all manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain activities for two plants to ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are met.
Financial & P&L Management: Own the cluster budget and P&L. You will be responsible for cost control, Capex planning, and identifying opportunities to improve EBITDA through operational efficiency.
Strategic Business Partnership: Leverage your finance background to conduct in-depth research on market trends and competitive landscapes to support long-term strategic decision-making.
Financial Modeling & Growth: Develop and analyze financial models for organic growth initiatives and potential joint ventures or expansions.
Process Optimization: Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve manufacturing margins across both facilities.
Stakeholder Management: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and board members regarding site performance and strategic initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a "Business-First" operator who understands the numbers behind the machines:
Education: A degree in Engineering or Business/Finance; any additional qualifications such as CPA qualification or an MBA is highly advantageous.
Experience: At least 10–15 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of managing on-site operations.
Financial Acumen: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data to drive operational changes.
Strategic Mindset: Experience in preparing business cases and financial analyses aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
Leadership Style: A collaborative leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and build high-performing teams.
