about the job
Reporting to the Head of Procurement / Operations, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end strategic procurement and supplier management activities across key direct and indirect categories within the pharmaceutical supply chain. This includes supporting raw materials sourcing, contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs), logistics, and specialized services.
• driving sourcing strategies aligned with regulatory, quality, safety, and business objectives
• managing supplier performance, negotiations, contract governance, and cost optimisation initiatives
• collaborating closely with QA/RA, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and Operations stakeholders
• ensuring compliance with relevant industry requirements including GxP, sustainability policies, and risk management frameworks
• supporting procurement transformation, capability building, and process standardisation activities
• providing leadership and guidance to a procurement team with defined KPIs and development plans
Candidates with strong experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, or life sciences procurement will be highly preferred, particularly those with exposure to regulated environments, international supplier bases, and strategic sourcing.

skills & experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
• at least 10–15 years experience in procurement with leadership responsibilities
• industry exposure in pharma / life sciences / biotech / medical devices
• strong vendor negotiation, contract management, and supplier governance experience
• familiarity with regulated environments and compliance standards (e.g. GMP/GDP/GxP)
• excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills
• experience using ERP procurement systems (SAP / Oracle or similar)
