about the job
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Procurement professional to lead our sourcing operations in Johor. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain, managing key vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of raw materials and services essential to our oleochemical production and FMCG distribution.
... Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for chemicals, feedstocks, and packaging materials to ensure business continuity and margin improvement.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage local and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and ESG standards.
Negotiation & Cost Control: Lead high-level negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, driving Value Improvement Programs (VIP) and cost-saving initiatives.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and price fluctuations in the oleochemical and chemical sectors to mitigate risks and inform purchasing decisions.
Process Optimization: Oversee the end-to-end P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process, ensuring accurate documentation in the ERP system and adherence to internal audits.
Team Leadership: (For Senior Manager) Mentor and lead the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous professional development.

In this high-impact leadership role, you will report directly to the General Manager. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a dedicated procurement team, driving a culture of accountability and excellence.
requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in procurement, within the FMCG or Oleochemical industry.
Proven track record in contract negotiation and strategic category management.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across different regions.
