the job
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of safety, health, environmental, GMP, hygiene, and sanitation standards across the plant.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, HALAL, and regulatory requirements, including managing internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Oversee and maintain quality management systems, ensuring proper documentation, non-conformance control, and continuous improvement.
- Manage laboratory operations to ensure accurate testing, timely reporting, equipment calibration, and data integrity.
- Act as the key contact for customer quality matters, including handling complaints, driving CAPA processes, and ensuring product compliance.
- Oversee supplier quality through approvals, audits, performance monitoring, and collaboration with sourcing on supplier development.
- Lead, train, and develop the QA team to ensure strong performance and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and strengthen overall operational excellence.
the experience
- Degree-qualified (or higher) in Biology, Chemistry, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Solid 10–15 years of experience in QA within the food manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated strength in stakeholder management, with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of quality and food safety systems, including ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC, and Halal requirements.
