A leading infrastructure construction company with a significant regional presence. We specialize in large-scale projects that drive economic growth and development. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead our regional finance function. This role is critical in guiding our financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting our ambitious growth objectives across multiple markets.
The Role
As the Regional CFO, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the financial health and strategic direction of our regional operations. You will oversee all financial aspects, including planning, reporting, treasury, and risk management, and act as a crucial business partner to the CEO and other department heads. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader from a multinational corporation (MNC) who can navigate complex, multi-country financial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support regional growth targets. Provide expert financial guidance to the CEO and Board on key business decisions.
Regional Financial Management: Oversee all finance, accounting, and reporting functions across the region. Manage financial operations, cash flow, and working capital to ensure stability and efficiency.
Reporting & Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with international accounting standards (IFRS/MFRS) and local regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration for potential M&A and investment opportunities.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive operational excellence, optimize project profitability, and support commercial strategies.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Head of Finance or CFO) within an MNC.
Proven experience in the infrastructure or construction industry is a must.
Demonstrated experience in managing a regional finance function, including cross-border financial reporting and consolidation.
Fluent in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is essential.
Proficiency in English and Malay is also essential.
Knowledge of other languages would be considered a valuable asset.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and strategic planning skills.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
