Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be the custodian of the company's financial integrity. You will manage the full spectrum of accounting operations while actively contributing to treasury functions and financial planning. This is an ideal role for a finance professional who wants to move beyond routine bookkeeping and gain exposure to the operational complexities of the fintech industry.
Key Responsibilities
... Full Set Accounting & Operations:
Manage end-to-end accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with MPERS/MFRS standards.
Oversee statutory compliance, including the preparation and filing of SST, corporate tax, and other regulatory submissions.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to ensure smooth audit and compliance processes.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
Monitor daily cash flow positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and settlement obligations (highly critical in the payment solutions space).
Manage banking relationships and oversee the reconciliation of high-volume transaction data from payment gateways.
Assist in treasury planning to optimize working capital and fund allocation.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis:
Support the management team in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Prepare management reports and financial dashboards to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MIA) are highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in handling full sets of accounts. Prior experience in Fintech, E-commerce, or high-volume transaction environments is a distinct advantage.
Technical Skills:
Strong command of accounting standards and tax regulations (SST/Income Tax).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, SQL, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) are essential for modeling and analysis.
