About the Job
This role is responsible for driving business growth by managing customer accounts, securing new projects, and providing accurate and competitive proposals. As a Sales Engineer, you will bridge technical knowledge with client engagement, ensuring solutions are cost-effective, feasible, and aligned with customer needs while contributing to the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new enquiries, costing, and quotation submissions
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide accurate costing calculations
- Compile and present quotations with management approval
- Follow up on RFQ status for new and mass production projects
- Prepare sales forecasts and periodic reports
- Meet with customers to discuss RFQs and ensure timely submission
- Collaborate with technical teams to meet client requirements
- Lead project kick-off meetings and communicate customer expectations internally
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Good command of Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools
- Ability to analyze technical data and translate into client proposals
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of sheet metal process or manufacturing industry is an added advantage
