Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of our financial data, and a focus on capital expenditure, tax, and audit management. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance and supporting financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations and execute timely month-end and year-end closing. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed balance sheet schedules.
Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management: Evaluate CAPEX and fixed asset requests, preparing ROI and payback analyses to ensure proper justification and supporting documentation. Conduct post-investment evaluations to assess capital project effectiveness.
Tax & E-Invoicing Compliance: Prepare and review current and deferred tax computations, including CP204 tax estimates. Review e-invoicing reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, and serve as a direct liaison for tax agents and authorities.
Audit & Control: Prepare all audit schedules and documentation for both internal and external audits. Coordinate with auditors to provide necessary documents and explanations, ensuring timely and transparent audit completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA).
A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for candidates from the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations, with hands-on experience in GL, financial reporting, and fixed asset accounting. Excellent analytical skills and a high level of integrity are essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with an ERP system, Oracle Fusion is a significant advantage.
