Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reports in compliance with Malaysia Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).
Maintain accurate financial schedules, including those for Fixed Assets, Term Loans, Hire Purchase, and Rental Deposits.
Ensure timely month-end closing, reconciliations, and robust record-keeping.
Cash Flow & Liquidity
Monitor the company’s cash position to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure prompt collections and settlements.
Track capital expenditures and maintain accurate payment schedules for obligations such as rental and payroll.
Compliance & Internal Control
Maintain statutory records in accordance with the Companies Act 2016 and ensure compliance with e-invoicing under LHDN regulations.
Oversee all statutory submissions, including EPF, SOCSO, PCB, Zakat, and CP204.
Implement and review internal control procedures, including policies for cash handling, petty cash, and inventory management.
Strategic Analysis & Leadership
Conduct financial and variance analysis to provide insights for management decisions.
Support budgeting for new projects, retail expansion, and operational planning.
Supervise, coach, and review the work of the Accounts and Finance team to ensure accuracy and productivity.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: Membership with a recognized accounting body (e.g., ACCA, MIA, CPA) is considered an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of MPERS, tax compliance, and the Companies Act 2016.
Systems: Proficiency in accounting software such as SQL or AutoCount, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
