design, build, and maintain next-generation segmentation systems at various levels of granularity.
apply advanced statistical and ML techniques to develop sophisticated clustering and classification models.
leverage and integrate large-scale datasets, including census and demographic data, to enrich segmentation models.
collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, and other data scientists to align on product vision and requirements.
conduct supporting analyses and create compelling data visualizations to define, validate, and package the segments.
partner with product owners to translate analytical insights into a cohesive and marketable data product.

knowledge, skills and experience

a minimum of 6 years' experience designing and building segmentation systems, utilizing unsupervised learning (K-Means, Clustering), dimensionality reduction (Factor Analysis, PCA), and various ML models (GLM, Decision Trees, Boosting).
strong programming proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with hands-on experience developing models on distributed platforms like PySpark and Databricks.
proven experience working with diverse first-party and third-party datasets, including unstructured and area-level demographic data (e.g., Census data).
a demonstrated ability to translate complex analysis and segmentation models into clear narratives using compelling tables, graphs, and charts.
expertise in data manipulation and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Alteryx, and libraries like D3.js.
