Drive Financial Strategy for a Market-Leading Manufacturer
We are a well-established and large-scale FMCG (F&B) manufacturer with a dominant presence in the Malaysian market. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Manager to take autonomous and strategic ownership of the entire Finance function. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, drive operational excellence across our manufacturing facilities, and ensure the financial integrity and long-term profitability of the business. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Financial Governance
Full P&L Oversight: Direct the entire financial planning cycle, including annual budgeting, strategic forecasting, and capital expenditure planning (CapEx) for manufacturing and operational investments.
Executive Partnership: Act as a key strategic partner to the General Manager, translating commercial strategy into robust financial plans and driving key decision-making across the organization.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team across all sub-functions (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Compliance), cultivating a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Cost Control & Operational Finance
COGS Optimization: Lead in-depth analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), driving continuous improvement in production efficiency, raw material sourcing, and inventory valuation methodology.
Working Capital: Direct strategies for cash flow and working capital optimization across the entire integrated supply chain, from raw material procurement to final sales.
Operational Control: Establish and monitor robust financial controls and KPI tracking systems specifically tailored to the manufacturing environment (e.g., monitoring wastage, production variances).
- Distribution Channel Analysis: Provide financial analysis on the performance and profitability of various distribution channels (e.g., modern trade, traditional trade, e-commerce), advising on optimal channel mix and cost-to-serve strategies.
Compliance, Reporting & Risk Management
Statutory Compliance: Take ultimate responsibility for the accuracy and timely submission of all financial statements, statutory audits, and corporate tax filings in adherence to Malaysian regulations and corporate standards.
Management Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial and management reports to the leadership team and regional stakeholders.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor rigorous internal controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure strict regulatory compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preffered.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, with significant, recent exposure leading the full finance function in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is a plus point.
Proven expertise in Cost Accounting and leading initiatives to drive COGS efficiency is essential.
Exceptional leadership, commercial acumen, and communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor teams and influence executive-level, non-finance stakeholders.
