We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Finance Manager to spearhead the finance function for their Malaysian operations. This role is a strategic blend of operational oversight, financial planning, and treasury management, offering significant visibility and regional exposure.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will take full ownership of the Malaysia finance department, ensuring robust financial health and providing strategic insights to the regional leadership:
Finance Operations: Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions, including month-end closing, statutory reporting, tax compliance (SST/Corporate Tax), and audit management. Ensure internal controls are stringent and aligned with group policies.
FP&A & Business Partnering: Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. You will be responsible for variance analysis, KPI tracking, and providing data-driven recommendations to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Treasury & Cash Management: Manage the company’s liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships. Optimize working capital and ensure efficient fund management across the Malaysian entities.
Team Leadership: Directly lead and mentor a team of four (4) finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accuracy, and continuous professional development.
Regional Collaboration: Report directly to the Finance Director based in Singapore, ensuring seamless communication between the Malaysia office and the regional headquarters regarding financial performance and strategic initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment:
Education & Qualification: A degree in Accountancy or Finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or MIA) is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in a managerial role. Experience within the Healthcare, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences industry is an advantage.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and local tax regulations. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across different geographical locations.
Mindset: A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support the team during peak operational periods.
