Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory & Government Compliance

Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for relevant government authorities, managing all formal communications and relationship building.
Tax Filings: Prepare and submit bi-monthly Sales Tax and monthly Service Tax returns accurately and on time.
Customs & MITI Management: Manage manufacturing compliance approvals, material return permits, and the preparation of monthly/quarterly Customs reports.
Statistical Reporting: Compile and submit mandatory statistical reports to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). ...

2. Financial Accounting & Reconciliation

Month-End Support: Assist with monthly account closing activities and perform comprehensive bank reconciliations.
Payment Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile all statutory-related payments to ensure no late-payment penalties or discrepancies.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with various internal departments to gather data for quarterly risk management reports and financial analysis.

Requirements

Educational Background: Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a related field.
Technical Expertise: Strong specialization in government compliance (Sales Tax/Customs Duty) and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
System Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP is highly advantageous.
