About the RoleAs the Assistant Marketing Manager, you will act as a Sole Contributor reporting directly to the Group Managing Director. Your primary mission is to transition the company’s branding away from external agencies and bring the expertise in-house. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of brand awareness, social media strategy, and event coordination to ensure the company remains a leader in the training industry.
Key Responsibilities- Brand Ownership: Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance company branding, including the creation of corporate collateral (e.g., name cards, brochures) and website content management.
- Social Media & Content: Lead the digital presence by creating compelling copy and viral content across social media channels, blogs, and video platforms.
- Event Management: Coordinate logistics for trade shows and corporate events, ensuring all marketing materials are prepared and distributed effectively.
- Campaign Execution: Create, buy, and manage ad space across various media channels to promote services; track expenditures and prepare ROI reports.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Manage relationships with outside vendors, printers, and boutique agencies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct research on current trends and competitor offerings to identify new market segments and opportunities.
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in marketing, particularly with strong involvement in social media management and event coordination.
- Knowledge of SEO will be considered an advantage. Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred. Additional experience in graphic design, website development, or video production will be highly valued.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, especially for communication with specific stakeholders.
- A proactive, execution-focused individual with strong organisational skills. Able to work independently and take full ownership of responsibilities as a sole contributor.
- P.R. & Coordination: Demonstrated ability to manage P.R. activities and liaise effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
