About the Job
This is a strategic role focused on driving business development in the specialty metals sector. You will play a key part in expanding market share across Malaysia, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and identifying new sales opportunities in high-value, technical industries. The position requires frequent travel and close collaboration with the regional HQ.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across key industrial sectors in Malaysia
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
- Meet monthly and annual sales targets with a proactive sales strategy
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new trends and opportunities
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing strategies
- Lead negotiations and oversee contract closure and payment follow-ups
- Collaborate with cross-border teams and report on sales activities regularly
- Travel throughout Malaysia and occasionally to Singapore for client engagement
Skills & Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related fields
- Experience in specialty metals, steel, or industrial materials
- Strong technical sales background with proven B2B experience
- Solid network with OEMs, machine shops, and end-users
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently
