We are hiring for a HR Manager (Melaka) to lead the full spectrum of Human Resources functions in a complex and stakeholder-intensive environment. This role requires a confident HR professional who can effectively partner with senior stakeholders, including academic and leadership teams, while driving HR best practices and compliance.
key responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end Human Resources functions including employee relations, performance management, and HR operations
- Act as a key HR business partner to senior stakeholders, including academic professionals and leadership teams
- Manage complex employee relations and industrial relations (IR) matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary cases
- Drive the development and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and internal standards
- Support organizational development initiatives, workforce planning, and change management
- Oversee HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management
- Build strong relationships across departments and influence stakeholders in a professional and effective manner
skills & experience required
- Proven experience in a HR Manager / Senior HR Generalist role
- Strong capability in managing challenging stakeholders and navigating complex organizational environments
- Solid knowledge of industrial relations (IR) and Malaysian employment law
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Mature, resilient, and confident in handling senior-level stakeholders
- Willingness to be based in Melaka (fully onsite)
