We are currently looking for a NPI Manager for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 50 years in the Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

the role
Project Management & Coordination:
Lead and manage the entire NPI process, from initial project kick-off to product launch and production ramp-up.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all NPI-related activities, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all departments, including Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Sales.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all milestones are met on time.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Process Optimization:
Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to provide early feedback on manufacturability, assembly, and testability (DFM/DFA).
Evaluate and manage the acquisition of new production equipment, fixtures, and tooling required for new products.
Oversee pilot production runs and trial builds, identifying and resolving any issues related to process, quality, or yield.
Supplier & Supply Chain Management:
Work closely with the Procurement team to identify, qualify, and manage new suppliers for materials and components.
Ensure all raw materials and components are ready for the production ramp-up, mitigating any potential supply chain risks.
Quality & Standards Compliance:
Work with the Quality Assurance team to establish and enforce quality standards for new products.
Ensure all NPI processes and products comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IATF) and customer-specific requirements.
Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the NPI process, such as time-to-market, production yield, and quality metrics.
Team Leadership & Reporting:
Motivate and guide a cross-functional team through the NPI process.
Provide regular and clear status reports to senior management on the progress, risks, and challenges of new product launches.
the experience
Possess experience in metal stamping, mechanical assembly, EMS, contract manufacturing, or industrial machinery manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in Mandarin as this role requires to to serve a lot of Mandarin-speaking clients.
