1. Process Optimization & Efficiency
Analyze and Improve: Conduct thorough analysis of existing production processes (Metal Stamping and Mechanical Assembly) to identify bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, and improve overall efficiency.
Lean & CI Implementation: Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, including Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, to eliminate waste (MUDA) and enhance production workflow.
Metric Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), First Pass Yield (FPY), and scrap rates, implementing corrective actions to meet departmental goals.
2. Technical Support & Quality Assurance
Daily Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary technical support for the production floor, promptly troubleshooting and resolving issues related to machinery, tooling, materials, and process deviations.
NPI Support: Collaborate with the R&D and NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to define manufacturing processes, design tooling and fixtures, and qualify new products for mass production.
Quality Control: Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs). Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 8D or 5 Whys for recurring quality defects and implement effective preventive measures.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Tooling & Equipment: Oversee the performance, setup, and maintenance schedules of production tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure consistent product quality and dimensional integrity.
Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, trend analyses, and performance data for management review.
Safety & Standards: Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment adhere to internal safety standards and external compliance requirements, including ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, IPC standards for PCBs).
