Position Overview
As the Regional Finance Director, you will be the strategic architect of the finance pillar for our APAC manufacturing operations. Overseeing a sprawling network of 13+ production facilities, you will drive financial excellence, operational transformation, and rigorous cost management. This is a high-visibility role for a dynamic leader with deep regional plant exposure who can navigate complex supply chains and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Regional Leadership
Network Strategy: Partner with the Global CFO to define APAC manufacturing strategies, including footprint expansion, plant rationalization, and capital allocation.
Operational Transformation: Lead the "Finance of the Future" agenda by implementing standardized ERP platforms (e.g., SAP) and migrating transactional tasks to Shared Service Centers
Business Partnering: Act as the primary financial advisor to the Regional Operations Director, evaluating the financial feasibility of new product innovations and factory capacity increases.
Plant Performance & Cost Management
Costing Excellence: Drive regional standardization of product costing, production variance analysis, and transfer pricing strategies across all 13 plants.
Profitability Optimization: Lead "Margin over Volume" initiatives, identifying low-margin SKUs for rationalization to protect regional P&L health.
Inventory & CAPEX: Oversee multi-million dollar CAPEX proposals and implement robust inventory controls (SOX404) to mitigate obsolescence and optimize working capital.
Governance & Controllership
Consolidation & Reporting: Attest to the accuracy of regional consolidated financial statements and present monthly operational review decks to global HQ.
Compliance & Risk: Ensure all 13 plants remain compliant with local tax regulations, IFRS/MFRS standards, and internal control frameworks
Tax Strategy: Support regional tax planning, including withholding tax (WHT) optimization and the realization of government-specific tax incentives (e.g., MIDA).
Key Requirements
Professional Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (FCCA, CPA, or MIA) with an MBA or Master of Finance preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 18–20 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 8 years in a Regional Finance Director or Financial Controller role overseeing multiple manufacturing sites.
Regional Depth: Proven track record in managing diverse teams across the APAC region (including emerging markets like Vietnam, Indonesia, or India).
Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of SAP (FI-CO, MM, PP modules) and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Soft Skills: A highly dynamic and resilient leader with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
