About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and independent Social Media Executive to manage and elevate integrated social media strategies and campaigns for multiple clients. This is a fast-paced, client-servicing role where you will be responsible for the full end-to-end execution of social media initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation, preferably with prior agency experience, and the ability to operate independently with minimal resources for training. You will be working with internal teams and other external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze client business contexts, advertising methods, and digital presence to construct effective social media plans.
- Develop comprehensive social media strategies and proposals for both ongoing content ('always-on') and specific, large-scale campaigns.
- Act as the key client relationship manager, preparing pitch proposals, managing communication plan budgets, and maintaining strong client contact.
- Conduct continuous research into emerging social media platforms, industry trends, and viral content to inform and enhance client content.
- Actively manage and facilitate engagement within social media communities by responding to posts and generating discussion.
- Establish and maintain vital relationships with brands, media partners, social platforms, and influencers across various channels.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of all social media campaigns and platforms using both native and third-party analytics tools.
- Guide and mentor junior executives on best practices and routine reporting tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in social media marketing or a similar role, preferably within a creative or digital agency setting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple brands/clients concurrently and effectively manage competing timelines.
- Strong foundation in social media management, including content strategy, execution, and basic performance reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects end-to-end, and require minimal hands-on training.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Malay to cater to a diverse clientele.
- A strong eye for trending topics and new media ideas, coupled with a passion for all things digital.
- Experience in client communication and presentation of proposals.
- Familiarity with digital advertising, branded content, and developing integrated digital solutions.
