About the Job
As a Technical Sales Engineer based in Penang, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing customer accounts in the northern region. This role combines consultative selling with technical advisory support, working closely with internal teams and clients to offer tailored solutions in process instrumentation and industrial control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow customer accounts across Penang and surrounding areas
- Identify new business opportunities and plan effective sales strategies
- Present technical product information and propose solutions based on client requirements
- Collaborate with technical teams for solution evaluation, demonstrations, and implementation
- Support marketing activities including campaigns, seminars, and exhibitions
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and project proposals
- Maintain accurate customer and sales data within CRM systems
Skills & Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields
- At least 2 years of experience in technical sales or similar roles
- Basic understanding of instrumentation systems and communication protocols (e.g., fieldbus, TCP/IP)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and process control systems is an advantage
