About the Role The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the Trade Marketing and Purchasing departments to drive sales growth, optimize inventory, and support brand objectives. This role leads purchasing operations, develops category strategies, executes trade campaigns, and collaborates closely with Sales and Marketing to align strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive trade marketing and purchasing strategies.
Lead the purchasing team, managing international suppliers and optimizing inventory levels through data analytics and forecasting.
Conduct market research and analyze category performance to identify growth opportunities and create planogram proposals.
Oversee the development and execution of merchandising guidelines, POSM, and in-store promotional campaigns.
Monitor and analyze sales data and campaign effectiveness, providing reports to management.
Manage trade marketing budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement.
Act as a key liaison between sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
Lead, coach, and manage the Trade Marketing and Purchasing teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's/Professional Degree in Business Management, Administration, or related.
Minimum 5 years of Trade Marketing experience in personal care FMCG, with at least 3 years at managerial level.
Required languages: English & Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficiency in MS Office.
A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starter, highly organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity and commercial awareness of the personal care industry.
