About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Trade Marketing, you will be a key contributor to driving business growth in Malaysia. You will lead the development and implementation of channel and category-specific strategies aligned with brand and sales objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail landscape, shopper behavior, and a passion for creating impactful in-store experiences within the competitive personal care space.
Key Responsibilities
Develop trade marketing plans in line with marketing strategy and sales priorities, preparing trade marketing grids and joint business plans.
Lead the development of channel-specific and category-focused strategies to drive product visibility, offtake, and market share.
Manage the trade marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
Analyze market and consumer data to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Collaborate closely with commercial and sales teams to align brand strategies with go-to-market and channel plans.
Prepare and execute all channel-based launch programs and in-store display activities, including Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM).
Evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions, providing post-mortem analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trade marketing, category management, or sales within the FMCG industry, preferably in personal care or grooming categories.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful trade marketing strategies.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Malaysian retail dynamics.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and agency management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
