As a Business Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales funnel through technical expertise and proactive market engagement. You will:
Market Intelligence & Prospecting: Conduct targeted research to identify high-value clients and emerging projects within the energy sector to fuel the growth pipeline.
Technical Advocacy: Lead technical presentations and consultations, translating complex industrial automation solutions into clear, value-driven outcomes for stakeholders.
Bid & Tender Management: Partner with Engineering and Senior BD teams to develop precise technical specifications, competitive quotations, and comprehensive tender packages.
Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical authority during the bidding process, managing complex clarifications to ensure successful project acquisition.
Strategic Feedback Loop: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to provide actionable insights to the product and engineering teams for continuous innovation.
skills and requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or a related technical field.
- 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or business development
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
