About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead the HORECA division. You will be responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth. This pivotal role involves leading and integrating both the sales and marketing teams, ensuring synergy and alignment to achieve ambitious targets. A strong background in marketing is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies for the HORECA channel to drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
Oversee the development and execution of all HORECA-specific marketing plans, including channel activations, promotions, and brand-building initiatives.
Drive the sales team to achieve distribution, volume, and profitability targets across all key accounts and territories.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Manage the P&L for the HORECA division, including budget planning, forecasting, and A&P management.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key HORECA customers, distributors, and industry partners.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Finance, R&D) to ensure operational efficiency and alignment on key initiatives.
Requirements
Degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field.
Extensive experience (8-12+ years) in the FMCG or Food Service industry, with a strong foundational background in Marketing.
Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role, with experience managing both sales and marketing functions.
Deep understanding and demonstrable success within the Malaysian HORECA channel.
Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and P&L management skills.
Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
