Our client is a growing player in the steel and metal solutions industry, with an expanding Water Solutions portfolio serving both retail (B2C) and commercial (B2B) customers across Malaysia.
With multiple outlets and online sales channels, the business is entering a new growth phase and is focused on strengthening its market presence, improving sales execution, and building a strong nationwide footprint.
They are now looking for a senior commercial leader to drive this expansion.
About the RoleWe are hiring a Commercial Director – Water Solutions to lead and grow the company’s Water Solutions business across Malaysia.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will oversee sales strategy, team management, outlet performance, and online channels (including Shopee). You will be responsible for building market presence, driving revenue growth, and managing sales execution nationwide.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building businesses, leading people, and turning strategy into results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead overall B2B and B2C sales operations for the Water Solutions business
- Manage and coach Sales Executives across physical outlets and online platforms
- Develop and execute nationwide sales and growth strategies
- Drive performance across offline retail and e-commerce channels (e.g. Shopee)
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and distribution opportunities
- Work closely with the MD on commercial planning and business direction
- Strengthen relationships with key customers, partners, and distributors
- Monitor market trends and competitors to refine go-to-market strategy
- Ensure smooth coordination with internal teams to deliver strong customer experience
- Strong background in commercial or sales leadership (steel, building materials, water solutions, or related industries preferred)
- Proven experience managing teams and driving market expansion
- Comfortable handling both B2B and B2C environments
- Experience with retail and online sales channels is a strong advantage
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution ability
- Strong people management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Passion for business growth and building markets from the ground up
