About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the company's Malaysian operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for full P&L ownership and for driving aggressive growth in a competitive market. You will lead the local commercial and operational teams, including sales, marketing, e-commerce, and supply chain. The core mandate is to build on current success, win market share, and scale the business.
Key Responsibilities
Own the complete Malaysia P&L, managing budgets and forecasts in collaboration with Finance and HQ.
Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive topline and bottomline growth across all channels.
Lead Annual Business Planning with retailers and ensure excellence in all in-store execution.
Build, lead, and mentor the local team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on clear goals and execution.
Analyze market trends and competitor movements to develop strategies for winning market share.
Localise regional marketing and product plans to suit the Malaysian market.
Oversee the launch strategy and trade activation for new products.
Identify new growth levers and whitespace opportunities in relevant FMCG categories.
Coordinate with the regional supply chain to ensure demand-supply balance and smooth logistics operations.
Requirements
Minimum 8-12+ years of experience in the FMCG sector or with a growing consumer brand.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and a track record of delivering on business targets.
Demonstrated experience with full P&L ownership and scaling a business.
