We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Sales Executive to play a vital role in reviving key accounts, expanding into new markets, and driving sustainable sales growth. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role requires a high degree of accountability for achieving targets, deep customer relationship building, and hands-on market execution across multiple trade channels.
1. Sales Growth & Business Development
- Target Achievement: Accountable for achieving and exceeding individual monthly and annual sales targets (AOP).
- Market Coverage: Focus on sales growth across diverse channels within assigned territories, including General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés), Cash & Carry (C&C), and Health Retail.
- Account Expansion: Spearhead market presence expansion by actively hunting and securing a minimum of 3 new customers or areas per month, with a specific focus on under-served markets and HoReCa channels.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans, conduct regular account planning, and hold business reviews with key customers to drive profitable growth.
2. Relationship Management & Compliance
- Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, wholesalers, retailers, HoReCa clients, and all trade partners.
- Collections & Credit Control: Ensure 100% timely collection of payments within approved credit terms and maintain accurate transaction records to prevent overdue payments.
- Reporting: Submit accurate daily sales forecasts, weekly pricing updates, and a minimum of four monthly competitor activity reports.
- Policy Compliance: Process accurate orders within the cut-off time and strictly adhere to company pricing and trading policies.
- Database Management: Promptly update the company database (CSU) after new account creation or changes.
3. Market Execution & Merchandising
- Visibility & Availability: Ensure consistent product visibility and availability across all designated outlets to meet distribution targets.
- Promotion Execution: Plan and execute trade promotions, in-store merchandising, and activations (e.g., promotional blocks, demonstrations, sampling) to enhance brand presence and drive purchases.
- Operational Liaison: Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize delivery efficiency and prevent stockouts.
- Team Leadership (Merchandising): May be required to lead a team of merchandisers to ensure excellent retail execution and adherence to brand visibility standards.
about you
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry (F&B preferred), specifically handling wholesalers, supermarkets, HoReCa, Cash&Carry, and local key accounts.
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Eng and Bahasa Malaysia is required; strongly prefer candidates with additional proficiencies and ability to communicate with key trade partners.
- Skills: Strong selling, negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and able to forecast and present strategies effectively.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to cover priority areas.
- Personality: High sense of responsibility and dedication, positive energy, and professionalism.
