about the job
Source and obtain competitive quotations for project-related equipment, spare parts, and materials.
Ensure accurate and timely purchasing aligned with department specifications and project schedules.
Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
Understand basic engineering and measurement concepts to evaluate technical requirements.
Compare quotations from 2–3 suppliers for quality, cost, and lead time.
Liaise with suppliers’ post-PO issuance for issues such as product defects, returns, pricing adjustments, and claims.
Monitor delivery timelines and ensure goods arrive in accordance with PO terms and in good condition.
Research and evaluate new or alternative products and materials suitable for wastewater treatment systems.
Prepare monthly procurement reports on cost, delivery status, warranty coverage, and supplier performance.
Coordinate with the Process Department to monitor and update outstanding purchase orders.
Maintain an up-to-date record of material and equipment pricing.
Undertake any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Procurement Manager and working together with a dedicated team of professionals.
Skills and experience required
To be successful in your role, you will come with:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on procurement experience, preferably in the water treatment, wastewater, engineering, or EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning) industry.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Familiarity with technical components used in water systems (e.g., pumps, valves, filters).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to liase with suppliers.
Must possess own transport and be willing to travel when necessary.
