The Standard & Compliance Area Operations Manager oversees the operational performance, profitability, and quality standards of multiple restaurant outlets within an assigned region. This leader ensures consistent brand experience, drives sales growth, optimises costs, maintains compliance, and develops store managers and their teams to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day performance of all assigned restaurants.
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, SOPs, product quality, cleanliness, and service.
- Conduct regular store visits, operational audits, and follow-up action plans.
- Manage store readiness for promotional launches, new product rollouts, and campaigns.
Financial Performance
- Achieve sales and profit targets for the area.
- Analyse P&L statements and guide store managers in improving controllable margins.
- Control food cost, labour cost, wastage, and operating expenses.
- Implement sales-building strategies and local marketing initiatives.
People & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop Restaurant Managers and Assistant Managers.
- Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, and succession planning for stores.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, training standards, and labour laws.
Customer Experience & Quality Assurance
- Maintain high customer satisfaction across all outlets.
- Monitor guest feedback and handle escalated complaints effectively.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations (HACCP, local guidelines).
Operational Efficiency & Compliance
- Ensure proper inventory management, ordering, and waste control.
- Enforce safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and facility standards.
- Uphold company rules, audit requirements, and operational policies.
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning for the area.
- Identify operational improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Support restaurant openings, renovations, and company expansion projects.
about you
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business, F&B Management, or related field.
- 3–6 years of F&B management experience, including multi-unit management preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, P&L management, and KPIs.
- Ability to analyse data and make effective decisions quickly.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Able to travel frequently within the assigned region.
