The Sales Executive – Food Service is responsible for developing and managing sales within the food service channel, including restaurants, caterers, hotels, wholesalers, cafeterias, and other HORECA customers. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding customer base, promoting company products, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the food service market
- Visit existing and potential customers regularly to build strong business relationships
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Propose suitable product solutions to meet customer needs
- Ensure proper product listing and display at customer outlets
2 . Account Management
- Manage and service existing customer accounts to sustain long-term business
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Monitor customer purchasing patterns and propose sales strategies to improve performance
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments
3 . Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing
- Provide feedback and suggestions to management on market opportunities
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and analysis as required
4 . Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for on-time delivery
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and credit control guidelines
- Attend sales meetings, product trainings, and customer events
about you
- Minimum SPM / Diploma in Business, Marketing or related field
- At least 1–2 years working experience in sales, preferably in food service / FMCG industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Customer service oriented
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong product knowledge (food products / frozen items is an added advantage)
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Time management and planning
- Possess own transport and valid driving license
- Result-oriented with positive working attitude
- Able to travel within assigned territories
