The Senior Business Development Manager is a strategic role responsible for driving the full lifecycle of equipment leasing operations within a designated region. Beyond sales, the position acts as a key market consultant, managing complex negotiations, overseeing equipment deployment, and ensuring financial health through diligent risk and account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop high-value opportunities within the real estate, infrastructure, and industrial plant sectors.
- Build and maintain a robust resource pool of top-tier general contractors and property developers.
- Independently manage the complete process from initial demand mining and technical solution design to contract signing.
- Take full accountability for regional contract value, accounts receivable follow-up, and debt collection.
- Oversee regional equipment scheduling and local supply chain setup to maximize fleet utilization.
- Conduct regular research on local market dynamics, competitor strategies, and industry policies to optimize business plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure quality equipment mobilization and construction services to drive repeat business.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the Malaysian construction machinery or equipment leasing industry.
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Machinery, or Marketing.
- Strong understanding of concrete pump truck technical parameters and on-site construction management.
- Deep familiarity with Malaysian construction market patterns, CIDB regulations, and equipment pricing logic.
