survey information.

The Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) is the most representative and inclusive employer brand research in the world. It is the only study that captures the workforce sentiments towards key employee value proposition factors from employees and job seekers between the ages 18 and 65.

REBR provides unique labour market insights, bringing together:

  • 200,000 respondents globally
  • 6,162 companies
  • 32 markets

The outcomes are based on public perception and focus on two main areas: overall brand awareness and relative attractiveness. This creates a level playing field for all of the commercial companies. The awards are not open for nomination and the results are based solely on the opinions of the local workforce – making it the only award that is truly representing ‘the people’s choice’.

The REBR 2019 survey was conducted with approximately 2,504 respondents in Malaysia.

how is REBR unique.

Unlike other employer branding studies, REBR is not based on company nominations or judging panels. It is an independent research where the results are based solely on the opinions and votes of the local potential working demographic, giving a truly impartial view of the employee market and a true reflection of employer attractiveness for each of the participating countries’ largest employers.

The Randstad Employer Brand Award is not just another prize for the trophy cabinet. The winners are determined by the world’s largest independent employer branding survey commissioned by Randstad. Each year, the Most Attractive Employer in the local market receives a unique trophy created by renowned designer, Marcel Wanders. The stylish award represents the winning company's ability to attract new employees, like a magnet.

why employer branding matters.

companies with positive brands get twice as many job applications. 50% of candidates would not work for a company with a bad reputation despite a higher salary.

Organizations are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of employer branding, and we are privileged to be in a position where we can leverage the insights we have gleaned from our research to help companies on their employer branding journey.
